About Scotch on the Rocks (SOTR)

Scotch on the Rocks, established in 2005, is a conference traditionally based out of Edinburgh, Scotland concentrating on all things ColdFusion.

Incorporating keynotes, technical sessions and tutorials, as well as the most innovative and successful ColdFusion experts and companies, Scotch on the Rocks is a must-attend conference.

With the credit crunch still playing merry havoc with travel budgets, 2009 saw us take the conference on the road under the guise of Scotch on the Road. 600 developers from Edinburgh, Manchester, Munich, Zurich, Milan, Amsterdam, Brussels and London took part in our 2009 Road Trip.

For 2010 the conference moves to London. Will it stay here? Time will tell.

"SOTR surely is an absolute must if you use both CF and Flex but it’s also worthy of some serious consideration from
Flex-only developers as well; keep an eye on the speakers list for next year."

Neil Webb

"Another year over at Scotch on the Rocks and what a hell of a conference it was!"

Mark Drew

"Scotch on the Rocks is one of barely a handful of what I’d call real “community driven events” out there, while not as polished
as other more commercial counterparts I had a sense that this is the place to be if you want to get a real feel of what is happening
in the ColdFusion community and want to network with fellow European developers."

Peter Elst

"I highly recommend this conference. Even to those who might otherwise go to a conference in the states. Seriously.
You may want to reevaluate where you’re spending your conference dollars and give Scotch on the Rocks a serious look."
