Something Wicked This Way Comes

In true SOTR fashion, we're a tad late on getting this information out to you.

First. The new website. Rather swanky if we do say so ourselves.

Second. We're holding 2010 at TigerTiger in London. It's not an excuse just to get drunk! Honestly. We've got a fantastic speaker lineup, including:

  • Darth Vader
  • Chewbacca
  • Indiana Jones
  • The Terminator
  • Marty McFly
  • and more

Also, with the recession still being a thorn in everyone's side, we hope we've managed to price things in such a way that it's affordable to everyone.

  • Super Early Mega Cheap Ass Ticket: £50
  • Super Early Very Cheap Ass Ticket: £75
  • Not So Early Fairly Cheap Ass Ticket: £100
  • Not So Early Cheap Ass Ticket: £125
  • Full Ass Price Ticket: £165

Prices exclude VAT at 17.5%

We've got a lot more to announce so grab some popcorn, a bucket of juice, and stay tuned.

Q: Where?

London

Q: When

SOTR 2010 will take place May 24 and 25.

Where the hell is SOTR2010?

OK I admit it ... we've been way to quiet on what's happening with SOTR2010. One of the reasons is we've simply been too busy with project work. I guess that's the battle of being a consultancy who happen to also "organise" a conference.

Also, because of the European tour in October we kinda feel like we've just finished with the conference so we wanted a break.

Anyway, we have some things for 2010 provisionally booked and I thought I'd let a few unconfirmed details slip out.

  • SOTR2010 will NOT be a tour.
  • SOTR2010 will not take place in Amsterdam as had previously been hinted at.
  • SOTR2010 will be a two day conference, with two tracks per day.
  • SOTR2010 will be less than £200;+VAT.
  • You may bump into Darth Vader, Indiana Jones, Batman and others at SOTR2010.

More info to follow.

Speaker and Sponsor updates

We have a couple of new speakers and sponsors for SOTR Europe.

Speaker wise, we have have Grant Straker (Straker Software) and Robert Rosen (Tesi). We'll be releasing details of their sessions later today.

Grant will be speaking in week two at Amsterdam, Brussels and London.

Robert will be speaking in Milan and giving shorter sessions in Zurich (30 mins) and Brussels (15 mins).

Straker Software will also be sponsoring the second week of the tour, and Tesi will be sponsoring the 3 events Robert is speaking at; Zurich, Milan and Brussels.

A huge thanks to both companies for getting involved.
