New session for Munich - CSI: Who killed ColdFusion?

Intergral's Darrn Pywell will be presenting on "CSI: Who Killed ColdFusion?" at the Munich leg of Scotch on the Road.

Join the CSI:ColdFusion Server Investigation, as we unravel the mystery and hunt down the ColdFusion 'serial killer' who's terrorizing CF Servers across Europe. Current suspects include Code, Server, Web and Database. Learn how to troubleshoot servers from real world examples using Intergral's upcoming ColdFusion analytics tool, FusionAnalytics.

All Speakers now announced

We may not have all the mug shots or bios, but we have confirmed the names of all the speakers at this years Scotch on the Road gigs.

Whilst some speakers may be presenting at only one location, some of them are going on tour with us and will be in attendance at the other gigs, so you'll still get your chance to buy them a beer.

A big thanks to all the speakers for signing up this year.

Announcement: New Speakers

We've made a little update to the website, and that includes the addition of a bunch of new speakers.

Tom Chiverton, Peter Elst, David Collie, Mike Jones, Duncan Jack, Toby Tremayne, and our very own Kev McCabe have all been added.

We're not finished yet with our speaker announcements so stay tuned for more.

Adobe Consulting @ Scotch

One of the great things about Scotch, is the ability to call on Adobe Consulting EMEA. The old iteration::two crowd were acquired by Macromedia and therefore Adobe and are based out of Edinburgh, and that gives us an incredible talent to call upon.

And with that, we have 6 sessions from Steven Webster's team.

  • Alex Uhlmann - Test Driven Develompent Applied to Flex
  • Alistair McLeod - Realtime Collaboration and Adobe Flex
  • Paul Williams - Patterns and Best-Practices for Rich Internet Applications: Exploring the Presentation
  • Peter Martin - Introduction to Data Management Services with Flex
  • Leon Tanner - Modularising your Flex Application
  • Borre Wessel - Automated Building and Testing of Rich Internet Applications

Steven won't be given a session this year, however he will be part of the Wednesday morning keynote session, that will also feature Ben Forta, Adam Lehman and Andrew Shorten.

We will be releasing a new version of the agenda soon to take into account these new sessions.

Intergral and Charlie Arehart at Scotch

We're delighted to announce that Intergral, makers of FusionDebug and FusionReactor, will be sponsoring Scotch on the Rocks again this year.

Additionally, they will be sending everysone's favourite CFML expert, Charlie Arehart to present on the Fusion products.

Speaker Announcement: Sanjeev Kumar

We're delighted to announce Sanjeev Kumar as a speaker at Scotch on the Rocks. Sanjeev is part of the ColdFusion Engineering team and has been with them for the last 3 years.

If the PDF Forms/Manipulation features of ColdFusion 8 are of interest, then Sanjeev's talk will be of most interest to you. Not just because he's speaking on that topic, but also because he built them.

Speaker Announcement: Jason Delmore

Jason was supposed to speak last year but went off to do something more interesting instead. At least, that's what he thought. When the feedback from Scotch '07 filtered back to him he was really annoyed he didn't make it.

So, for 2008 the ColdFusion Product Manager is heading to Edinburgh to speak, mingle and get drunk - it's a conference after all!
