For the first time in the history of Scotch on the Rocks, we're a tad organised. OK< we're a day behind in this unleashing, but I think most will agree we seem to be on the ball.

Topics/schedule will come later (give us 6 weeks) but here's the speaker line up:

Faisal Abid (AndSpot, Inc.)

Peter Bell (Railo)

Rob Brooks-Bilson (Amkor Technology)

Ray Camden (FirstComp)

Sean Corfield (Railo)

Jason Dean (Dakota County Technical College)

Mark Drew (Railo)

Claude Englebert (Adobe)

Steven Erat

Gert Franz (Railo)

Matt Gifford (Fuzzy Orange)

Sagar H Ganatra (Adobe)

Vinu Kumar (Adobe)

Bruce Lawson (Opera)

Adam Lehman (Adobe)

Chris Mills (Opera)

Stephen Moretti (Enigma Interactive)

Ben Nadel (Epicenter Consulting)

Chris Pelsor

Steven Peeters (multimediacollege)

Robert Rawlins (WeBoffins)

Terry Ryan (Adobe)

Darren Walker

John Whish (Crisp eBusiness)

Speaker lineup is subject to change and should anyone have to withdraw form the conference, we promise to mock them profusely.

p.s. the new website is coming; clients are keeping us super busy.

Whilst some speakers may be presenting at only one location, some of them are going on tour with us and will be in attendance at the other gigs, so you'll still get your chance to buy them a beer.

A big thanks to all the speakers for signing up this year.

Adobe Consulting @ Scotch

One of the great things about Scotch, is the ability to call on Adobe Consulting EMEA. The old iteration::two crowd were acquired by Macromedia and therefore Adobe and are based out of Edinburgh, and that gives us an incredible talent to call upon.

And with that, we have 6 sessions from Steven Webster's team.

Alex Uhlmann - Test Driven Develompent Applied to Flex

Alistair McLeod - Realtime Collaboration and Adobe Flex

Paul Williams - Patterns and Best-Practices for Rich Internet Applications: Exploring the Presentation

Peter Martin - Introduction to Data Management Services with Flex

Leon Tanner - Modularising your Flex Application

Borre Wessel - Automated Building and Testing of Rich Internet Applications

Steven won't be given a session this year, however he will be part of the Wednesday morning keynote session, that will also feature Ben Forta, Adam Lehman and Andrew Shorten.

We will be releasing a new version of the agenda soon to take into account these new sessions.

Jason was supposed to speak last year but went off to do something more interesting instead. At least, that's what he thought. When the feedback from Scotch '07 filtered back to him he was really annoyed he didn't make it.

So, for 2008 the ColdFusion Product Manager is heading to Edinburgh to speak, mingle and get drunk - it's a conference after all!

Today we're delighted to announce Luca Mezzalira, an Italian Flash Platform Developer - we won't hold it against him just because Italy qualified for Euro 2008 instead of Scotland.

A certified developer and instructor, we can expect to see great things in regards mobile devices during his presentation.
